SOLID FOUNDATION.

Professional structural repair solutions for damaged floor systems, weakened structural components and inadequate support throughout Hampton Roads.

STRUCTURAL REPAIR

STRENGTH WHERE IT MATTERS MOST.

As a licensed Class A Contractor, Priority provides professional repairs for floor joists, subfloors, sill beams and pier support systems to help protect and preserve your home.

FLOOR JOIST REPAIR

Moisture, wood deterioration and termite damage can weaken floor joists and compromise the structural support of your home. Sagging or uneven floors, wall or foundation cracks, and doors that become difficult to close can all be signs of a problem.

As a licensed Class A Contractor, Priority repairs failing floor joists using pressure-treated wood. New joists are sistered alongside compromised joists to transfer the load to new, structurally sound material.

COMMON SIGNS OF FLOOR JOIST DAMAGE

  • Sagging, bowing or uneven floors
  • Cracks in walls or foundations
  • Doors that become difficult to open or close
  • Moisture or wood deterioration
  • Termite damage

SUBFLOOR REPAIR

Soft, spongy or unstable floors can indicate damage to the subfloor beneath your home's finished flooring. Excessive moisture, termites and other pests can weaken these materials over time, compromising the stability and safety of your floors.

As a licensed Class A Contractor, Priority identifies the source and extent of subfloor damage before professionally removing and replacing compromised materials. Our team also evaluates underlying moisture or pest problems to help minimize the risk of future damage.

COMMON SIGNS OF SUBFLOOR DAMAGE

  • Soft, spongy or unstable floors
  • Flooring that feels weak underfoot
  • Visible moisture or water damage
  • Termite or other pest damage
  • Deteriorating subfloor materials

SILL BEAM REPAIR & REPLACEMENT

Sill beams are critical load-bearing components that help support and distribute the weight of your home. Moisture, wood rot and termite damage can weaken these beams, potentially causing uneven floors, structural settling and cracks around doors or ceilings.

As a licensed Class A Contractor, Priority uses heavy-duty metal beams and 30-ton jacks to carefully support and slightly lift the home, allowing damaged sill beams to be completely removed and replaced with new pressure-treated wood rather than simply reinforced alongside the existing damage.

COMMON SIGNS OF SILL BEAM DAMAGE

  • Uneven or sinking floors
  • Cracks in ceilings or around door frames
  • Structural settling in certain areas
  • Visible wood rot or moisture damage
  • Termite-damaged or deteriorating beams

PIER SUPPORT SYSTEMS

Sagging, uneven or bouncy floors can indicate inadequate structural support beneath your home. Over time, long spans between load-bearing beams can contribute to settling and floor movement, particularly in older homes.

As a licensed Class A Contractor, Priority installs permanent pier support systems using new concrete footings, stacked concrete masonry (CMU) blocks and pressure-treated 6×6 beams. Unlike temporary hydraulic jacks or metal supports that can deteriorate over time, these systems provide dependable, long-term structural support.

COMMON SIGNS OF INADEQUATE FLOOR SUPPORT

  • Sagging or uneven floors
  • Bouncy floors when walking
  • Rattling furniture or objects from floor movement
  • Long spans between load-bearing beams
  • Visible settling or bowing in floors

INSULATION SERVICES

A HEALTHIER, MORE COMFORTABLE HOME.

From attic insulation to crawl space insulation, doors and vents, Priority offers solutions designed to improve energy efficiency, reduce drafts and help maintain a more comfortable home.

ATTIC INSULATION SERVICES

Insufficient or uneven attic insulation can lead to inconsistent room temperatures, drafts and higher heating and cooling costs. Rodent infestations can also contaminate insulation, creating additional concerns for your home.

Priority provides professional attic insulation installation, removal of rodent-contaminated materials and rodent exclusion services. When contamination is present, our team removes affected insulation, treats the attic with disinfectant, seals identified entry points and installs new pest-control-treated insulation. Priority uses approximately R-48 insulation to help improve comfort and energy efficiency.

SIGNS YOU MAY NEED ATTIC INSULATION SERVICES

  • Uneven temperatures between rooms
  • Drafty areas throughout the home
  • Insufficient or uneven attic insulation
  • Scratching or rodent activity in the attic
  • Insulation contaminated by rodent droppings

CRAWL SPACE INSULATION

Damaged or insufficient crawl space insulation can contribute to uneven indoor temperatures, higher energy costs and moisture-related problems. Rodents, humidity and fungal growth can also compromise insulation and surrounding structural materials.

Priority inspects crawl spaces for moisture, fungal growth, pest activity and damaged insulation. Our team removes contaminated materials, addresses affected areas and installs new R-19 insulation. When needed, we also identify pest entry points and recommend additional moisture-control solutions.

SIGNS YOU MAY NEED CRAWL SPACE INSULATION

  • Uneven indoor temperatures or drafty floors
  • Missing, damaged or deteriorating insulation
  • Wet or moisture-saturated insulation
  • Rodent activity or contaminated materials
  • Visible fungal growth or moisture damage

CRAWL SPACE DOORS

Damaged, poorly insulated or improperly sealed crawl space doors can allow pests, humidity and outside air to enter beneath your home. These vulnerable entry points can contribute to moisture problems, uncomfortable indoor temperatures and increased heating and cooling costs.

Priority installs durable, insulated crawl space doors designed to resist rot and rust while helping prevent rodent entry. Our doors are also described as FEMA-rated for flood insurance, providing an additional feature for homeowners in flood-prone areas.

SIGNS YOU MAY NEED A NEW CRAWL SPACE DOOR

  • Doors that don't close or latch properly
  • Missing or inadequate door insulation
  • Gaps that allow pests to enter
  • Rust, rot or visible deterioration
  • Excessive outside air or humidity entering the crawl space

CRAWL SPACE VENTS

Damaged, outdated or improperly functioning crawl space vents can allow pests, humidity and outside air to enter beneath your home. These vulnerable openings can contribute to moisture problems, uncomfortable indoor temperatures and potential damage to surrounding structural materials.

Priority installs durable, rodent-resistant foundation vents that automatically open and close based on outside temperatures, eliminating the need for manual adjustments. These vents are designed to help regulate crawl space ventilation while providing reliable protection against unwanted pests.

SIGNS YOU MAY NEED NEW CRAWL SPACE VENTS

  • Vents that no longer open or close properly
  • Damaged, rusted or deteriorating vent covers
  • Gaps that allow rodents or other pests to enter
  • Excessive humidity or moisture beneath the home
  • Older vents requiring manual seasonal adjustments
